Notes from the meeting held on February 27, 2007.

v Unfortunately, I was unable to attend this meeting, but was provided the meeting notes from Haley and will try to relate them accurately for you all.

v Our current budget for this year is $680.00. Next year our group status will change to allow for a larger budget and less restrictions on how we are allowed to spend the money.

v Fundraising ideas presented at the meeting:

- Grants available from Target and Starbucks for travel.

- New member, Michelle Brown, has generously donated Synovi G to the group

to sell and collect the proceeds from.

- Holding a garage sale with items donated from the members of our group.

v Volunteering: A new list of volunteer opportunities will be online soon. If anyone has any other ideas on places to volunteer at, please feel free to email Haley with your ideas.

v Future group activities discussed at the meeting (approximate dates to follow):

- Tour of Dove Lewis during spring break or later.

- Large animal observation; Castration and pregnancy checking with Dr. Barno in

Hillsboro in late April or early May.

- Equine foot care demonstration by Dr. Skinner (date unknown at this time).

- Group adventure trips in the summer to possibly go hiking, rock climbing or

rafting.

The next meeting of the PSU Pre-Veterinary Group will be scheduled for the beginning of spring term – the exact date will be posted to the website.
